Clearly Dope’s FAVORRRRIITTTEEEE THIINNNNNGGGSSS: Dancing with an iPod in Public: Christmas Edition. I’ve watched it three times and have gotten increasingly happier with each viewing. I’m going to give it a shot in Wal-Mart, probably going to get stabbed.

Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I answer all my children’s letters — sometimes very hastily — but this one I lingered over. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it.

Erin Condren Life Planners

If you get excited about buying a new planner every year (like me), this is right up your alley! These personalized planners normally cost $50 (ridiculous, I know), but today you can get the 2011-2012 version for $17.50 $12.50. They also make GREAT gifts. Here’s how:

  1. Join Plum District here and earn $5. (If you already have an account, don’t use your registered email address)
  2. Add the daily Erin Condren deal ($25 for $50) to your cart.
  3. Enter the code FABULOUS ‘SPOOKY30’ for an additional 10% 30% off. The $5 will be applied and knocks the price down to $17.50 $12.50.
  4. Go on Erin Condren, personalize your planner and redeem the voucher.

If you didn’t give in on Monday, you may want to now. Plum District announced a 30% off promo code through Monday (SPOOKY30). With this code and the $5 you get from joining, the voucher price goes down to $12.50. Such a steal for a $50 planner…

I don’t know how much longer they’ll run the deal, so I’d hurry if you want one!

I’m giving in to the Erin Condren craze. Not sure if it’s going to answer all my organizational prayers, but for $12.50 it’s worth a shot.

I got this toooo but I can’t decide between the chevron one and the peacock. OR a giant picture of Hudson (too much)? HELLLP!

Just ordered this!!!! This is such a great deal. And the best part is that they are located in Manhattan Beach so I can just pick it up and don’t have to pay shipping! WIN!

I'm doing a giveaway!

…cross your fingers, toes, and eyes for me today, please… I have a job interview. FINALLY!

When I was younger and I thought about what my life would be like in my late-20s, I assumed that everyone I loved would be close to me and we’d be able to share experiences together. That we’d always find comfort in, at least, the physical proximity one has to the other. But in truth, we’re thousands of miles away from each other as we go on dates and have babies and break up and get married. And so something stronger — the affection we have for each other — has to keep us close in ways geography cannot.

I don’t care that I’ve been wearing sweaty lululemon clothes all day. Because that yoga class I went to earlier in the day was inspirational and motivating, and as such, I haven’t had time to take a shower yet.
